Job Summary :

Under limited direction and with a high level of autonomy, the Exchange Traded Funds Business Lead utilizes extensive knowledge and skills acquired through education and experience. As an integral part of Raymond James Investment Management, the ETF Business lead is a component of the product team and will lead a combination of business and product strategy, capital markets functions, and relationship management. Serving as the internal product expert and business leader on Exchange Traded Funds, they collaborate cross-functionally across the organization, including distribution, national accounts, product specialist, marketing, compliance, and operations. In collaboration with others within the organization, the successful candidate will develop and execute an ETF business strategy to establish RJIM’s presence in the Active ETF market, foster growth and retention of AUM, and develop new products. Responsibilities:

Strateg y and Execution

  • Work cross functionally with relevant RJIM departments to develop and execute comprehensive ETF business strategy and capital market strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Monitor and disseminate market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions.

Capital Markets and Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain external partnerships and relationships across the ETF ecosystem, including Fund Administration, Trading, Authorized Participants, Market Makers, Exchanges, and others as needed.

  • Coordinate trade execution and implement best practices between portfolio managers, trading teams and Authorized Participants.

  • Act as a key point of contact for market participants, addressing inquiries and providing insights to enhance market understanding of our ETFs.

Internal Expertise

  • Serve as the internal ETF Subject Matter Expert and build consultative relationships with distribution, national accounts, and portfolio specialists.

  • Act as internal consultant to drive understanding of the mechanics and processes of the ETF structure, how they are utilized in a portfolio and how to facilitate and execute trades.

Product Strategy and Develop ment

  • Provide insights into market demand, competitive landscape, and investor preferences, contributing to the creation of new ETF products.

  • Assist in building go-to market plans for new ETF products, platform partners, and RIAs.

Risk Management

  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential market risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Stay informed of industry regulations and best practices, adjusting strategies and procedures accordingly.

Knowledge of

  • Company’s working structure, policies, mission, and strategies.

• Fundamental concepts, principles, and practices used in the securities industry.

• Fundamental concepts, principles, and practices of relationship management.

• Investment product management and/or investment consulting experience.

• Financial markets and products.

Skill in

• Interpreting and applying policies and procedures.

• Preparing management reports.

• Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.

Ability to

• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels, including senior management.

• Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions.

• Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.

• Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, including negotiating resources.

Education/Previous Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred, with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.

• OR

• Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training as approved by Human Resources.

Licenses/Certifications

• SIE, FINRA Series 7 preferred

Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) - Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)

Salary Range

$130,000.00-$200,000.00
