Job Description

This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds – flexibility and collaboration. In office days will be 2-3 per week averaging 10-12 days per month.

Job Summary:

This role will support our Engineering Management team with responsibly and ownership for the engineering, deployment solutions and automation for all Raymond James Windows PC’s. The position will also prove support and innovation to modernize and manage Microsoft Group, Policy, OS Provisioning and Cloud Adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • This role plans and designs enterprise systems for our workstation infrastructure including the evaluation and implementation of hardware and software products; engineers and tests technology solutions for our workstation environment.

  • Monitors the day-to-day performance of the infrastructure and works with project teams on the integration of new systems.

  • Creates strategies and develops resolutions for complex problems, incidents and outage situations. Provides third-level support for the workstation-supporting infrastructure.

  • Implement required security measures, and provide input on their design, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems.

  • Perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.

  • Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.

  • Provide fault isolation and resolution for complex challenges to limit and address issues promptly.

  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Skills:

  • Automation experience with PowerShell or python

  • Experience with Microsoft - Intune and Autopilot

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Administration

  • Experience with Microsoft Modern management in Hybrid EntraID environment.

  • Expert in Windows Workstation Operating Systems.

  • Experience with Tanium Core and Provision Experience a plus.

  • Experience with Group Policy deployments to workstation environment.

  • Experience with Application packaging and deployment

  • Experience with Security best practices for Windows-based systems CIS benchmarks

  • Experience with Basic IP network design practices and principles.

  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory architecture.

  • Experience with System monitoring and event analysis and troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience with Virtualization concepts and technologies.

  • Experience with Other assigned area knowledge and systems.

  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.

  • Supports business processes without supervision by understanding and effectively using standard office equipment and standard software packages, while providing technical guidance as needed.

  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on monitoring, diagnosing and fixing technological problems.

Licenses:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

  • ISC2 CISSP or equivalent or ability to achieve within 6 months of hire
