Job Summary
Under limited supervision, the Private Client Banking (PCB) Lending Product Specialist uses in-depth lending knowledge and skills obtained through formal education and/or work-related experience to assist with origination requests for securities backed lending and Mortgage offerings. The Senior Lending Product Specialist will serve as a primary contact for advisors and their support staff inquiring about new securities backed lending options or mortgages. The Senior Lending Product Specialist will play a key role in initial communication between the advisor, branch support staff, and sales teams within Private Client Banking. The Senior Lending Product Specialist will impart guidance regarding lending capabilities at Raymond James Bank specializing in more complex scenarios.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fields incoming calls from advisors as it relates to securities backed lending and Mortgage products offered by Raymond James Bank.
Serves as point of contact for origination of new inquiries from the Financial Advisor or branch support staff.
Interacts professionally with associates and Financial Advisors to provide professional client service upholding the Service 1st philosophy.
Advises on basic and intermediate loan structures.
Provides guidance on lending options and directs to the Senior SBL Consultant or SBL Consultant or Mortgage Consultant as necessary.
Builds excitement around enhancements to our Securities Based Lending and Mortgage platforms.
Maintains knowledge of Raymond James Bank forms and processes needed to start a new Securities Based Lending application (through the SBL Application or Amendment tools) or Mortgage (through Blend).
Identifies opportunities to enhance productivity via interactions within the Securities Based Lending team, Structuring Team, and Loan Operations team.
Maintains a shared inbox that includes requests regarding general SBL and Mortgage product information and new and existing loan inquiries. Responds directly to branch requests while including the Senior SBL Consultant, SBL Consultant, or Mortgage Consultants as necessary.
Ensures compliance with Raymond James Bank, state, and federal guidelines.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge of
Advanced principles of banking and finance, including securities backed lending, and mortgage lending, and pipeline management responsibilities.
Understanding of securities as collateral and impact to credit requests.
Securities Based Lending rates and Mortgage lending rates.
Securities Based Lending tools including loan analysis, application and amendment origination.
Skill in
Critical thinking, problem solving and creativity.
Providing a high level of service in the spirit of Raymond James’ Service 1st commitment.
Organizational skills including a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Effective oral and written communications to convey high level detail on bank lending products and processes.
Managing minor escalations through creative solutions.

Build strong and productive relationships with Financial Advisors, Banking Consultants, Internal Banking Consultants, Securities Based Lending Consultants, and Mortgage Consultants and other internal partners.

Education/Previous Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience.
OR
An equivalent combination of education, training or experience as approved by Human Resources.
