The American Express Global Compliance Program is seeking a Compliance Analyst who will assist in the Business Unit Compliance Assessment (BUCA) program. This is an enterprise role responsible for the quarterly aggregation and reporting of Business unit performance in line with internal and external expectations. The successful candidate will create reporting and analytics for BUCA program. The Compliance Analyst will partner closely with various teams across Global Risk and Compliance as well as other critical stakeholders across the organization. The Compliance Analyst will report to the Manager of Compliance Risk Management Program Governance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Maintaining standards and methodologies for the BUCA program.

  • Facilitating and coordinating the execution of the BUCA program across key stakeholders, specifically, compliance officers, operational risk, and Internal Audit.

  • Consolidating, analyzing, and presenting assessment results.

  • Communications and Business Writing – Ability to communicate effectively via written and verbal methods in informal and formal settings.

  • Creating, enhancing, and automating management reporting and dashboards.

  • Execute process optimization and quality assurance initiatives that integrate data, people, processes and technology across governance, risk, and compliance programs.

  • Monitors progress against deadlines; can work on several tasks simultaneously.

  • Takes initiative to prioritize tasks related to organizational goals and work-streams; develops detailed plans, completes tasks in logical order, and delivers work products on time.

Required Skills

  • Experience in governance, risk and compliance systems/capabilities and operations in a regulated business or financial services company.

  • Excellent teamwork skills, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact, persuade and influence a broad spectrum of constituents at all levels, including Senior Leadership teams.

  • Intellectually curious and creative; possess a growth mind-set.

  • Self-motivated and a team player with ability to drive results and influence others in changing and ambiguous situations.

  • Strong ability to generate business insights through data analysis and reporting.

  • Tableau reporting, project management, and process diagraming skills helpful.

  • Proficient in advanced capabilities of Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience building and maintaining an American Express Square site preferred. (Jive).


Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
