Hyatt Hotel Assistant Food & Beverage Manager in SAN ANTONIO, Texas

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will oversee the food and beverage areas within the hotel to include the three-meal restaurant and bar, coffee shop and food truck. This leader will also work directly with the banquet team to fill in when shift coverage is needed on busy banquet weeks. The ideal Assistant F&B Manager will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience designing and executing departmental training, knowledge of scheduling and forecasting in an ever-changing environment and excellent computer skills. This is an excellent role for anyone interested in moving up in hotel operations and food and beverage.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of hotel and/or food & beverage management experience preferred
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Present a professional appearance and confidence
Customer service focused and experience resolving concerns and delighting customers
Experience training and guiding teams at all levels of experience to success
Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to exceed standards and expectations
Understanding of food and beverage operations in restaurants and a banquet environment
Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast-paced environment
Strong time management & multi-tasking skills with the ability to work well under pressure
Excellent knowledge of Outlook, Micros
Ability to quickly learn new computer systems
Flexible schedule with a focus on weekends and day shifts, but ability to close the bar as needed
Wine/Liquor/Beer knowledge in an upscale environment and creative drink creation and promotion
Ability to be on feet for 10 hours per day and lift 35 or more pounds as needed
Food Handler Certificate and TABC required
