We are seeking a Growth and Improvement minded Embedded Software Engineering Associate Director that can help drive our Strategic Operating Priorities.

Summary, Focus and Purpose

The Embedded Software Engineering Associate Director will lead development of operational and test firmware for ruggedized, low power consumption IOT tracking devices with geo-fencing capability. This role provides a unique opportunity to be involved in a wide range of technologies, which are in the core of our systems and products.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related areas of study.

Experience | Skills | Knowledge

Required

  • Five years experience in embedded software development (C/C++/Python/ ARM Assembly)

  • Three years experience in Python programming, or similar languages.

  • Experience with low bandwidth, high latency wireless IOT protocols: LORA, LORAWAN

  • Experience with embedded software development in RTOS environment for ARM Cortex-M architecture, STM32

  • Demonstrable experience with GNSS modules in a power constrained environment

  • Experience with the following protocols: Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, SPI, I2C, UART, RS232

  • Experience in low-level drivers & BSP development (I2C, SPI, UART, Flash etc.) in support of HW board bring-up

  • Experience in Device Security, provisioning, Boot loader, FUOTA & Certificate Management

  • Experience with using test equipment such as Oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer, Logic Analyzer, Function/Signal generator, Power Measurement Analyzers, JTAG/SWD Debuggers, etc.

  • Proficiency with reading electronic schematics for both digital and analog circuits

  • Excellent team player with good communication and presentation skills

Preferred

  • Good familiarity with FreeRTOS

  • Experience with STM32WL Series microcontrollers

  • Experience with Sony CXD56xx series GNSS modules

  • Experience in developing a modular and scalable embedded solution

  • Ability to understand complex IOT systems including RT SW, HW, RF, and various wired and wireless communication protocols (BLE, ZigBee, Matter, etc.)

  • Experience with architecture and design of low-power battery-operated products

  • Experience with Cross-Platform IoT solutions based on platforms like AWS, Azure IoT Hub

  • Master degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Wireless Communication Systems is helpful

  • Experience and familiarity with Linux operating system and tools
