Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Dimension Hospitality. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Job Description

  1. Solicit, negotiate and generate contracted revenues from volume prospects that meet criteria established in the

hotel business plan.

  1. Employ revenue management techniques to recommend corporate rate proposals.

  2. Accurately prepare and present Requests for Proposals so that both client and hotel receive a good value.

  3. Prospect for new contract business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls,

attending community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, trade journals, etc.

  1. Develop, implement and constantly modify sales action plans.

  2. Manage and maintain an accurate and up-to-date contact management system.

  3. Negotiate and close contracts that meet the hotel’s business plan objectives. Desired arrival, departure and

volume patterns must be met.

  1. Internally communicate client requirements, thereby insuring all information is accurate between client and hotel

staff.

  1. Coordinate and participate in target market trade shows and sales blitzes.

  2. Conduct competitive analysis and maintain competitor files in order to be able to compete successfully.

  3. Maintain good rapport with local civic groups and companies.

  4. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  1. Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, and familiarity with brand specific property Management

System(s).

  1. Ability to exercise excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills.

  2. Ability to use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.

  3. Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.

  4. Education Associate's degree in Sales &Marketing, Business, or a related field and Minimum 2 years hotel sales experience; OR, equivalent combination of education and work experience.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 annually
