As a Local Area Network (LAN) and Test Engineer on the Aegis Modernization Team you will:

• Work on software integration projects that will vary from weapons systems command and control software, to network interface management software, to combat systems mission specific software, to electronic detection systems.

• Integrate into a small, high-performing team.

• Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.

• Independently author formal test procedures, standard operating procedures, and data reports.

• Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the integration and testing. components, elements, subsystems, and systems.

• Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.

• Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability, develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.

• Perform analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.

• Write discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.

• Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement, emphasize outcomes over metrics, and be a good teammate.

• Be able to interpret complex system requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4 years of professional experience.

• Experience with maintaining, configuring, operating and troubleshooting complex electronic computer interface systems and network equipment.

• General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP.

• Ability to travel/work remotely up to 50% of the time.

• Candidate will be expected to work in an industrial shipyard environment and shipboard where stair/ladder transit will be required and work in confined spaces could be required.

Desired Skills:

Flexibility and determination to learn new skills

• Knowledge of software lifecycle principles and tools (Git, Jira, etc.).

• Ability to write/draft technical documentation.

• Understanding of System Administration and/or Systems Engineering.

• Knowledge of software performance testing/metrics.

• Active CompTIA certification (Security+).

• Experience in generating design documents that adhere to technical standards.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $67,400 - $129,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $77,600 - $146,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
