Hilton Complex Accounting Manager - Hiltons of San Francisco Union Square in San Francisco, California
Our iconic Hilton SF Union Square and Parc 55 Hotel are looking for a Complex Accounting Manager to join this incredible team!
Our hotels are located a block from the Curran and ACT theaters, and just two blocks from Union Square and Westfield San Francisco Centre. The Powell Street cable car turnaround, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Moscone Convention Center are within a mile. Our Hiton Union Square property in the largest in the Bay Area with 1921 rooms, over 150,000 square feet of meeting space with 44 meeting rooms. Our Parc 55 property has 1024 room with over 30,000 square feet of meeting space with 21 meeting rooms.
What will I be doing?
The Complex Accounting Manager supervises and directs the financial activities of both hotels, safeguards the assets, and prepares all financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Interviews, trains, supervises, and counsels the team. Reconcile General Ledger accounts, review discrepancies and problematic accounts and guide team members to follow-up on such accounts.
As an Accounting Manager, you would be responsible for managing the audit function in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Ensure processing and accuracy of reports including, but not limited to, Month-End closing, monthly forecast and variance, etc.
- Prepare, analyze, and post assigned Month End Journal entries
- Control and track inventories of operational, departmental and team member meal budgets
- Prepare tax returns in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Prepare all ledger account reconciliations including, but not limited to, bank statements, assets liabilities and credit cards
- Ensure the correct downloading of data into timekeeping systems
- Manage weekly submission of time and attendance data, including gratuities
- Calculate and produce daily deposit transmittals for received checks
- Conduct monthly payroll audits and issue pay checks if needed
- Conduct monthly House Fund Audits and monitor cases
