Amex Digital Labs is responsible for catalyzing innovation at American Express by originating, incubating, and managing products and platforms that are essential to our customers’ lives. We are a fast-paced team that leverages emerging technologies to develop digital payment and financial services products, servicing solutions, and engaging membership experiences. We value creativity, customer centricity, and experimentation and often collaborate with top technology companies and strategic partners to bring products to market.

Role Description:

Amex Digital Labs is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the Apple Pay product strategy, defining new features, shaping the customer experience, and innovating the digital payments experience for Card Members around the world. They will represent the product with internal and external audiences, acting as the main point of contact with any partner product teams. They will also lead two Associate Product Managers to deliver against the roadmap and be responsible for ongoing product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance the needs of customers and stakeholders to define the product roadmap, features, and prioritize the backlog for delivery to market

  • Partner with engineering, business development, internal colleagues, and external partners to deliver new features

  • Partner across the network, merchant, and account management product teams to maintain product availability and world class payment experiences

  • Set and track development/release timelines, navigate intricate dependencies, and communicate impacts to stakeholders.

  • Digest and ensure compliance with legal regulations/requirements and create the best outcome possible for customers while meeting those requirements. This includes addressing and responding to audit requests.

  • Maintain pulse on external trends and marketplace dynamics impacting the payments and banking industry, to inform continuous product evolution.

  • Identify industry trends, leverage data, and draw insights from customer feedback to continuously improve the product and refine the backlog

  • Lead two Associate Product Managers, providing day-to-day mentorship, guidance, and supporting their professional development

  • Collaborate across Amex Digital Labs to identify ways to continuously build better products and drive an innovation first culture

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of Digital Product experience

  • People leadership experience

  • Passion for outstanding products and services, able to empathize with customers, and skilled at articulation of product functionality

  • Experience partnering with engineering and the product development process; known as a business person who can talk tech

  • Detail oriented, able to identify key questions and experienced in making product decisions

  • Excellent communication and relationship skills with ability to engage, influence and inspire partners to drive teamwork and deliver results

  • Curiosity to know how things work and ability to use that knowledge to make connections and find opportunities with the tenacity to push innovation agenda inside a large company

  • Bachelor's Degree required

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
