Our Opportunity:

Corporate Treasury Services manages Schwab's relationships with external banks ensuring that Schwab maintains access to credit, liquidity, and banking services to support our operations. Corporate Treasury Services also supports various systems and projects related to Treasury Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, and Securities Lending. We provide subject matter expertise on enterprise projects related to firm cashiering and liquidity.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage external credit relationships for The Charles Schwab Corporation, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and other affiliates.

  • Manage the renewal of the firm’s committed credit facility

  • Arrange for and manage external credit facilities, including letters of credit and uncommitted credit lines

  • Credit reporting

  • Manage banking relationships, including monitoring the quality of current services as well as evaluating, selecting, and implementing new products and services

  • Planning/coordination for our annual bank meeting

  • Work with Schwab Corporate Vendor Management and legal counsel to complete risk assessments, due diligence, and negotiate agreements with banks

  • Report policy and credit exceptions and violations to the appropriate committee and/or officers

  • Participate on cross-functional initiatives involving banking, funds movement, cashiering policies, procedures, and systems

  • Support Schwab's strategic priorities by implementing efficient and cost effective banking arrangements and strategies while managing risk and maintaining adequate controls

  • May participate on other Treasury or Corporate Finance projects involving capital and liquidity planning, credit, risk management, investments, borrowing, and financial analysis

  • Oversight of the database, issue resolution, and approval process for letters of credit related to the securities lending fully paid product

  • Reviewing, negotiating, and executing lease transactions

  • Manage rating agency relationship(s)

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferable in business, finance, or accounting

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) credential preferred

  • 5-7 years in finance, operations, project management, or banking

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and attention to detail are required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong strategic planning skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Strong problem solving, organization, negotiation, and relationship management skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
