Abbott Manufacturing or Quality Engineer in San Juan, Puerto Rico

The Opportunity

Become an Associate Manufacturing/Quality Engineer (entry level position) or M anu facturing/Quality Engineer (junior position) at Abbott Puerto Rico; Abbott Vascular in Barceloneta; Abbott CRM in Arecibo and Abbott SH in Caguas, PR.

As Engineer you will develop and implement production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner and will work closely with manufacturing and quality departments and have manufacturing responsibility for products from initial concept progressing through design and development and continuing throughout production.

What you'll do

Daily support to manufacturing activities to meet established goals.

Accountable for the equipment maintenance, setups & troubleshoot. Accountable to update and maintain manufacturing process to current practices and accountable for continuous improvement projects and financial analysis.

Responsible of equipment and process qualifications and approval. Support or lead product introduction activities from planning to implementation phase. Responsible to provide necessary information to maintain appropriate spare parts inventory.

Reviews and monitors results of non-conforming product to identify causes, implements controls to eliminate causes, and assesses the success of the controls.

Ensure compliance with all procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering.

0- 3+ years of engineering role experience in a regulated environment (pharma or medical device preferred).

Good verbal and written communication skills. Fully bilingual (Spanish and English).

The base pay for this position is $53,300.00 – $106,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
