Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive an assigned team to ensure optimal use of equipment, personnel, and materials.

  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

  • Investigate and resolve non-conformances in collaboration with Quality and Compliance teams.

  • Communicate operations status and issues to relevant stakeholders.

  • Monitor line performance and ensure adherence to EPS (Ethicon Production System) rules.

  • Create a CREDO-based work environment that fosters employee engagement and recognition.

  • Enforce safe practices in the use of machinery and equipment, ensuring a safe work environment.

  • Provide performance evaluations for direct reports twice annually.

  • Analyze conflicts within areas of responsibility and deliver timely resolutions.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational process enhancements.

  • Comply with all environmental, safety, and occupational health policies (e.g., ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001).

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate Degree is required; Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or Business Administration is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in a regulated manufacturing industry.

  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (oral and written).

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in process engineering, automation engineering, or a supervisory role.

  • Six Sigma or Lean certifications.

  • Proven ability to manage change and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive hand motions for extended periods.

  • Lifting requirements up to 30 lbs.

  • Ability to work in a natural and environmentally controlled area with potential exposure to noise, chemicals, and fumes.

Additional Information:

  • Must have flexibility to work night shifts and weekends

  • This position is 100% on-site

  • Up to 20% travel required, must be able to travel between Ethicon Locations (Manati and San Lorenzo) and other locations as the need arises by the business.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ear plugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes are required.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation. This position is eligible for Mileage Reimbursement for Personal Car Usage as per JNJ Global Travel, Meetings, and Expense Policy. The mileage reimbursement is intended to cover costs related to the operation of the vehicle including service, maintenance (gasoline, oil), routine repairs, insurance, and depreciation.
