Within Global Commercial Services, the Global Product Management organization owns products and capabilities, creates global consistency, and drives process excellence. This focus directly supports B2B payments, one of the fastest growing segments of our business. The Virtual Payments Platform (VPP) product development team is responsible for managing the intake and prioritization process that will transform the way we manage product development and enhancements.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The Sr. Program Manager – Virtual Payments will be responsible for:
Applying knowledge and expertise to bring rigor to our ideation, planning, and delivery process.
Managing the virtual account portfolio, development intake, prioritization process, develop reporting metrics, and align priorities/status with multiple program management offices across American Express on a regular cadence.
Leading the transformation of how we measure success.
Enhancing and developing a set of metrics that will help us improve efficiency and throughput to achieve our goal to become a best-in-class agile team at American Express.
Coaching the team on how to improve processes while listening and taking action.
Interacting with product owners and business partners, of all levels, and with competing priorities
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience and knowledge in Project/Product management and/or Engineering.
Knowledge of Lean Agile Principles and Continuous delivery.
Proven ability to turn data into actionable recommendations.
Ability to manage details in an environment with changing priorities.
Strong communicator with an ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues of all levels and with competing priorities.
Experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Visio
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Rally/JIRA.
Experience interfacing with product owners and technology teams at American Express.
Experience with multiple payment processors (TSYS, & American Express).
Understanding of Virtual Accounts and vPayment.
Technical background and experience with payment processors, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and travel expense management.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
Depending on factors such as business unit requirements, the nature of the position, cost and applicable laws, American Express may provide visa sponsorship for certain positions.
