The Senior Manager Data Analytics, Global Assessment and Consulting Services (GACS) is a core member of the GACS Leadership Team (LT) reporting directly to the Senior Director, GACS. The Senior Manager works with the GACS LT to develop the strategic direction and management of GACS services that supports proactive risk management through the extraction of data driven insights from available global dashboards and visualizations and through data analytics.

This position collaborates with the GACS LT and Regional HCC Leaders to identify and analyze trends and patterns to support risk mitigation and best practices that can be shared by sector, regionally and globally; leads the global payment analytics project, including the development and execution of a roadmap of prioritized insights from HCC relevant payment data; and continues to enhance insight capabilities through predictive analytics as well as combining payment data with other data sources.

The Senior Manager is responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the GACS Dashboards and to identify effective ways to reflect status of plan, assessment, and consulting findings in the visualizations for review with HCC global and regional leaders.

The Senior Manager is an influential and strategic leader with a focus on continuous improvement and the development of innovative approaches to assist the HCC leadership teams to assess risk areas due to emerging new business models and changes in regulatory requirements.

The Senior Manager has dotted line leadership responsibility for a Lead Specialist, EMEA GACS. The Senior Manager also has responsibility for contractors/interns, as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HCC Senior Leaders to understand business initiatives, emerging business models, and potential areas of risk. Use data driven insights to inform HCC leaders as part of quarterly risk reviews and risk assessment activities.

  • Oversee and review activities/outputs/outcomes analytics for themes and insights to inform other HCC activities, including business planning, risk identification, and best practices for remediation. (Follow the Money and analytics leveraging other data sources)

  • Assist in developing a dynamic, risk-based global data analytics strategy and work plan to ensure maximum effectiveness of resources to identify, mitigate, and manage health care compliance risk across all sectors and functions.

  • Execute on workplans to deliver data driven insights in support of risk mitigation activities, from available global dashboards and visualizations. As an outcome of some data reviews, if deemed appropriate, provide recommendations for deep dive assessments to understand processes, controls, risks and drive improvements. Ensure observations discovered during data reviews are appropriately documented, communicated to appropriate owners, and if applicable escalated.

  • Maintain and enhance GACS Dashboard to provide metrics and insights on assessments and Management Action Plan Pre-Closure Effectiveness Checks (PCECs) so that they can be leveraged for KPIs and KRIs and inputs into Quarterly Risk Reviews.

  • Serve as a key member of the GACS LT, responsible for shaping the organization’s vision, mission, and strategy to ensure maximum value to our stakeholders through efficiency, innovation and value-based delivery.

  • Demonstrate Operational Excellence mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and learning. Includes maintaining and enhancing GACS Dashboards and identifying effective ways to reflect the status of the work plan, assessment and consulting findings for review with global and regional HCC leaders.

  • Partner with GACS LT to identify, develop and implement solutions that enhance our ability to leverage data insights and ensure global alignment where appropriate.

  • Shape the internal and external environment by leading or participating on other assigned special project teams or industry working groups related to data analytics and monitoring.

  • Enables a team culture of innovation, accountability, development, and continuous learning. Develop high functioning team through talent and skill development, recruitment, training and coaching of team members.

Qualifications

Education:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree is required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of business experience with at least 3-5 years’ experience in the health care industry.

  • Experience in assessing, monitoring and utilizing data analytics outputs to extract meaningful and actionable insights.

  • Excellent Project Management skills are required, and candidates must be self-starters and be able to demonstrate experiences in prioritizing needs and implementing plans and process enhancements.

  • Demonstrated quantitative analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage high level of complexity using independent judgment and latitude to make critical decisions.

  • Must have the ability to successfully manage multiple critical /complex issues and projects.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required.

Preferred:

  • Experience and shown leadership in HCC or related compliance/risk management function (Regulatory, Quality, Finance) is preferred.

  • Knowledge of relevant HCC systems used globally and/or regionally (e.g. Totality, iConnect, HCC life, HighBond, EPiC) is preferred.

  • Knowledge of information management systems and applications for data mining and analysis (Tableau, Power Bi, alteryx, etc.) is preferred.

  • Process excellence training and certification is preferred.

  • Project Management certification is preferred.

  • HCC certification is preferred.

The base pay range for this position is $118,000-$203,550. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
