The Opportunity
The position of Screening Technician 1 is within our Toxicology Division located in Santa Rosa, CA . This role is key to our business operations as it assists licensed testing employees in the performance of screening tests in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
What You’ll Work On
Assist licensed testing personnel in the performance of screening tests in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
Opening the specimen bags and sorting the sample bottles.
Scanning bottles and checking data previously entered into the database from requisition forms.
Preparing aliquots of urine specimens for testing in a production laboratory.
Perform any and all other duties as may be requested by the Chief Toxicologist /Technical Supervisor, Lab Director, Operations and Technology, Lab QA Manager/General Supervisor or the Laboratory Department Managers.
Required Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using a computer and barcode scanner, preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel , preferred
Basic ability to understand the function of a Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other laboratory computer systems.

The base pay for this position is $15.25 – $30.55 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
