Weyerhaeuser Territory Manager in Seattle, Washington

The Territory Manager (TM) manages the demand creation and sales of Trus Joist-engineered lumber products in single-family residential and high-density housing market segments. This role reports to the Northwest Region Manager and is in Seattle, WA.

Key Functions:

  • Represent and role model the company’s safety, ethics, and professionalism values.
  • Develops and implements a territory strategy that maximizes the opportunity for success, focuses on the Seattle metro market, and partners with another territory manager.
  • Drives sales and profit by creating primary product demand by working with builders, dealers, the design community, and building officials. Focuses on selling solutions to generate profit.
  • Develops and delivers customer-specific solutions that quantifiably demonstrate value and improved returns for the builder
  • Develops and nurtures both new relationships and partners closely with crucial long-established customers at the appropriate customer levels to ensure our mutual respect. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with the construction channel
  • Provides product and solution knowledge training/education to builders, design community, dealers, distributors, and building officials aligned with the Trus Joist training program

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (ideally in a related field such as wood product, construction management, etc.) OR 2-3 years overall experience AND 1-2 years sales, engineering, or related industry experience (wood product, construction management, etc.)
  • Must live or be willing to relocate to the Seattle Metro Market.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), able to convert ideas and concerns clearly and persuasively
  • Understands and can persuasively explain residential construction, technical, and design concepts regarding value creation to the builder.
  • Skilled in business acumen, financial competency, and negotiation
  • Demonstrated creativity in approach to problem-solving and solutions
  • Strong consultative selling ability. Working knowledge of levers to drive results to meet sales strategy/profitability targets
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships internally and externally

Preferred:

  • Knowledgeable of Engineered Lumber Products

Compensation:This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $72,700 to $130,200 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Sales Incentive Program.

Retirement: Employees may enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation:We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with paid vacation for up to 3 weeks to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 hours along with paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
