Job Summary

As a Logistic Engineer 4 you will Implement and continuously improve all logistics processes to maximize efficiency and productivity. This role is specific to C13D program.

What you will do

• Applying lean manufacturing principles to assist with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions.

• Coordinating with engineering, manufacturing operations, and supply chain functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.

• Maintaining the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; Assuring their implementation in current and new operations.

• Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.

• Efficiently communicate gateway requirements and approvals within NPI gateway reviews

Degree Requirement

Degree in Logistics engineering, Manufacturing engineering, or equivalent experience desired

What you Will Have

• Planning: Tactical and Strategic: Working Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Working Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

• Lean Manufacturing: Working Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.

• Logistics Management: Extensive Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.

• Materials Handling and Management: Working Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.

• Problem Management Process - MFG: Working Knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes, methodologies and techniques; ability to use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution.

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
