Lockheed Martin Logistic Support Representative -UAE Joint Aviation Command in Shelton, Connecticut

Description: This is a Sikorsky Logistic Support Representative (LSR) position based in Abu Dhabi, UAE supporting the Joint Aviation Command fleet.

The LSR would serve as the Buyers primary point of contact to coordinate resolution of Buyer’s issues, liaison with the Seller IPT, scheduling meeting and PMR’s, and providing periodic report defined within the SOW. They support and assist all logistical issues for the Buyer’s material needs including the sourcing, ordering, shipping, international trade compliance, and storing of all parts, ground support equipment, and repairs. The LSR’s responsibility would be to provide immediate and sustaining improvement to the logistical infrastructure of the operator and help identify important cost savings to enhance the overall fleet sustainment and availability through comprehensive supply-chain management. The LSR will also participate in the annual PMRs.

The following tasks will be provided by the LSR;

a) Assist the Buyer’s supply-support organization in establishing inventory control of delivered material, positioning material at the Buyers facility, and supporting the inventory control system;

b) Provide over-the-shoulder supply support guidance for the Buyers logistics personnel on components and supply chain system;

c) Work to expedite any requirement deemed urgent by the Buyer and work to improve lead times through Sellers unique supply channels;

d) Track and monitor orders from the point of requisition up until delivery at the final destination, checking available stock, identifying the best source of supply, and navigating delivery to the Buyers facility;

e) Review demands on supply system for accuracy and completeness and recommend supply replenishment to right size the inventory specific to the Buyer’s needs, considering alternate solutions to satisfy requirements when required parts and materials are not immediately available. The LSR would recommend inventory-stocking levels based on actual or predicted demands for an efficient parts supply;

f) Provide forecasting of material to include TBO items;

g) Monitor the progress of the repair cycle and provide a monthly status report to Buyers representative;

h) Make best efforts to monitor the Black Hawk platform to identify any potential obsolescence risks which may impact the Buyers fleet;

i) Assist transfer of parts between Seller locations and Buyers facility;

j) Monitor and report on high failure rate parts on a monthly basis;

k) Review reports from operating activities for supply deficiencies and assist Buyers inventory management in procurement of necessary parts and materials;

This position is contingent on funding which is anticipated in Q3 of 2024

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years experience managing logistics supply processes for military operators performing Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level maintenance on Sikorsky helicopters. Candidate must have experience utilizing SAP. Candidate must have an understanding of International Trade Compliance. Candidate must be willing to provide On Call support 24/7. Candidate must be capable of obtaining/maintaining a valid U.S. passport. Candidate must be willing to travel in support of customer requirements.

Desired Skills:

US Military Material Control experience, Sikorsky aftermarket logistic management experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
