Ally Administrative Support Coordinator -- Loss Mitigation in Shoreview, Minnesota

In your role as a Civil Litigation Agent, you will work side-by-side with our external litigation counsel to find a winning solution. This will entail seeking possession judgments to recover vehicles as well as working with customers and counsel to recover funds. This role also works with other Ally departments and repossession agencies in an effort to achieve successful results. As a representative of this department you will collaborate with a winning team to minimize loss and maximize portfolio performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and complete account documents and information to external counsel

  • Answer calls from internal and external customers

  • Review legal documents presented to the courts and customer for accuracy and completeness

  • Follow-up with counsel for deadlines / updates

  • Handle accounts with speed and accuracy while maintaining professionalism

  • Utilize your excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills

  • Maintain strict confidentiality

  • Escalate more complex or difficult issues to higher level

  • Stay informed of changes in national policy and procedures

  • Work schedule includes an 8 hour shift between 7AM to 7PM Monday-Friday, and one late night per week from 10AM-7PM, or an option to work a 10 hour shift 4 days per week, Monday-Friday; overtime will be available according to business need


  • HS diploma or equivalent required.

  • Typing skills; 50 words per minute preferred

  • Computer skills; ability to use 2 screen workstations as well as use several systems at a time

  • Prior experience in financial services or similar industry preferred. Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in business or related may be used as a proxy for the experience

  • Microsoft Windows and Internet-based applications experience required

  • Customer Service Skills; quick on the phone problem solving and a willingness to research any issue timely
