In this role will offer you the following daily responsibilities:

We are seeking an energetic, dynamic and inspiring leader who can deliver our FBM commits of today while building a pipeline of talent for the FBM programs of tomorrow! In this Engineering Management role, you will lead a diverse and talented group of engineers delivering our D5LE mission while also being a member of our SWFPAC Engineering Management Team at Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC).

You will:

• Lead and manage teams composed of approximately 13 multi-disciplinary (mechanical, electrical, systems, etc.) engineers. Our engineering teams provide technical support and issue resolution throughout processing operations for the D5LE Program.

• Provide leadership and support to our engineers by managing program projects and tasks that execute the mission while providing challenging opportunities for team growth.

• Manage and communicate technical, mission and operations related issues effectively across various levels of leadership (LM and Customer) while ensuring proper elements of safety, technical compliance and mission need timeframes. Tasks include but are not limited to: hardware defect resolution, root cause analysis and corrective action, processing/CIPS/program requirements compliance and support equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.

• Form and shape the culture of our engineering workforce by fostering an adaptive and inclusive work environment while partnering with our Navy customer and other FBM mission partners.

• Conduct hiring and provide staff career and technical development ensuring we deliver our D5LE mission while positioning us for the future D5LE2 program

Please note that this position does NOT support teleworking; This position is at the Navy's Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific in Silverdale, WA. Occasional overtime and weekend support is needed. Some travel (likely<10%) is expected to other FBM sites.

Basic Qualifications:

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in an applicable Engineering discipline such as mechanical, Electrical, aeronautics, etc., from an ABET accredited College or University, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.

• Five years demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership experience.

• Experience addressing technical issues while including schedule and budget needs

• Proficient in Root Cause and Corrective Action

• Experience with working in an ordnance handling/weapon systems environment

• You will need to be a US Citizen (no dual citizens), andbe able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

No clearance is required to apply but an Interim clearance is needed prior to start.

Desired Skills:

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• 5 years or more experience with FBM D5LE operations and requirements

• 5 years or more experience with FBM material review requirements

• Experience leading teams of engineers

• Experience with process proofing and certification

• Experience with presenting to Lockheed Martin and customer senior leadership

• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) fundamentals

• Experience with FBM Product Life Cycle and associated change control and alterations requirements

• Demonstrated advocate and ability to drive innovation - processes and technology

• Experience with Continuous Improvement (LM21) and/or Green Belt certification

• Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate to all levels

• Ability to establish priorities, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and drive issues to successful closure

• Active DoD Secret or higher security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
