Weyerhaeuser Company is searching for a Maintenance Planner for the Arcadia Oriented Strand Board (OSB) facility in Simsboro, Louisiana. Arcadia OSB is in the Sportsman's Paradise of Lincoln Parish in north central Louisiana. It is situated near Ruston and Grambling, Louisiana, home to Louisiana Tech and Grambling State Universities. The mill is located 20 minutes west of Ruston, 45 minutes west of Monroe, 55 minutes east of Shreveport, and an hour south of the Louisiana/Arkansas state line.

The Maintenance Planner is now a salaried position and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. This position receives and reviews work orders for completeness, validity of the priority, clarity and accuracy of information. From work orders, estimates maintenance jobs showing sequence of steps, number of crafts person's, man-hours and materials required. Must have thorough knowledge of plant/mill operations and cost/time required for all types of maintenance work.

Key Activities:

• Champion all safety standards/processes and on-the-job behavior by living our core principles of integrity and creating a positive inclusive work environment
• Responsible for the process of planning maintenance for production process areas and ensuring accountability of goals and objectives of team
• Receives and reviews each work order for completeness, validity of the priority, clarity and accuracy of information
• Interfaces with and establishes positive relationships with operations and maintenance personnel to continuously improve mill operations

• Tracking and follow up of work orders to ensure timely and accurate completion of planned work

• High School Diploma/GED required, associate’s degree or higher preferred

• Thorough knowledge of safe practices, plant/mill operations and cost/time required for all types of maintenance work
• Ability to estimate maintenance jobs showing sequence of steps, number of crafts persons, man-hours and material
• Five or more years proven experience in continuous-process industry in maintenance, maintenance planning, maintenance leadership, or associated role
• Must have thorough understanding of job plans and planning
• Excellent ability to facilitate and coordinate meetings and assignment completion across departments and levels of the organization
• Demonstrates capability to set priorities on multiple job assignments and understands impacts on business
• Excellent organization, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and written/oral communication skills
• Excellent understanding of mill processes to include process reliability (i.e., Value Proposition and Value Delivery Systems)

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $61,400 to $92,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation:We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours.
