Scrum Master :

Kenvue is currently recruiting for a Scrum Master. This position reports into the Enterprise Tech Platform Delivery Lead and is based at our Skillman, Nj Office.

What will you do

The Scrum Master is responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across various cross functional teams including: Engineering, Product, User Experience, Reliability, and Security to ensure everyone is aligned to OKR's.

  • Organize scrum ceremonies, working with product engineering leaders and teams to plan and execute product roadmaps and assist in release planning.

  • Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.

  • Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

  • Keep team on track and on time working alongside teams of Platform Engineers, Quality Assurance, and Product Management professionals.

  • Work alongside a team of passionate, creative engineers to brainstorm and plan sprints, communicate across other functions to avoid potential delivery issues.

  • Drive to build self-organized product engineering teams and facilitate strategic planning and goal-setting with assigned teams, communicating a clear vision.

  • Guide the Scrum team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services.

  • Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.

  • Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.

  • Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge, and communicates effectively, both internally and externally.

  • Works with Scrum team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.

  • Facilitate release planning and scheduling by providing empirical scrum team statistics, burndown charts, project dependencies, and mitigate risks.

  • Own the identification and management of cross-team dependencies and be able to work across teams to achieve team’s objectives.

  • Engage program management to establish KPI’s and use the metrics to track team progress and decision making.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles across organizational workstreams.

  • Knowledge of agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices.

  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.

  • Adept at facilitating requirement elicitation, refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques.

  • Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams.

  • 5 years' experience in an engineering organization as an Scrum Master

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Scrum management, product, or project development experience, on an Agile Team.

  • Experience with Agile at scale (e.g SAFe, Scrum@Scale, LeSS).

  • Strong understanding of the engineering project life cycle.

  • Familiar with technical constructs, process and engineering frameworks.

  • Good understanding of reporting metrics and the use of dashboards / reports to radiate information.

  • Experience in identifying and mitigating inter-team and intra-team conflict, and team/initiative roadblocks.
