The Opportunity

Building managers oversee employee and visitor safety, building and grounds maintenance, repair and upgrades, and comply with environmental, safety and health procedures relating to facility operations. The position requires a highly motivated, positive individual that can work both independently and in a team environment and handle stressful situations. The Building Manager must be dedicated to the success of CSI and its quest to continually improve its operations, as well as perform duties to manufacture CSI products, meeting FDA, OSHA, GMP/MDD and ISO compliance requirements.

What You’ll Work On

Coordinate building maintenance and repairs for facility and grounds, partnering with external vendors as needed

• Monitor HVAC at all times, keep cleanroom and controlled temp/humidity spaces in check

• Monitor Walk in Coolers, keep them controlled and maintained

• Oversees building security with system help from IT

• Manage janitorial services

• Stays informed of changes to space assignments in their facilities

• Plan and coordinate all new office systems and furniture installs

• Coordinates department facility related activities and projects

• Develops and implements facility emergency plans – not limited to evacuations, assists emergency response teams in assessing building condition, shutting off utilities

• Ensuring the facilities meet government regulations and environmental requirements

• Manage MPCA findings with City and State government, make sure all environmental concerns are met

• Responsible for facilities insurance and bank holder inspections and reports

• Advising on energy efficiency cost-effectiveness.

• Provides occupants with updates of electrical, water and other service outages and scheduled shutdowns

• Supervising grounds maintenance, and landscaper contractors

• Project Management of Future Facility upgrades

• Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of coding

• Responsible for space planning for events and meeting

• Manage Facility Maintenance person and facility receptionist

• Create and manage seasonal building displays internally and externally

• Community relations with city, state and local businesses

Required Qualifications

• 2 years secondary education required.

• 5+ years of experience working in a variety of facility environments, including office management

Preferred Qualifications

• Interpersonal and human relationship skills; HR experience desired

• Excellent written and verbal communications skill. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues

• Working knowledge of financial principles and practices

• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Working knowledge of architectural, electrical and mechanical systems

• Working knowledge of leases, contract and related documents

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
