Under limited direction, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience related to the low income housing tax credit (LIHTC) program for Raymond James Affordable Housing Investments, Inc. (RJAHI) to lead investor reporting for proprietary and multi investor funds and, in collaboration with experienced equity managers, support all aspects of the sales process, including, preparation of marketing materials, communication with internal and external clients throughout the sales cycle, participation in investor meetings and industry events. Substantial training and guidance is provided related to LIHTC investments. Individual will perform varied work requiring analysis, originality and ingenuity to make moderately complex decisions, process information in a timely manner, and operate within a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with timely and accurate reporting to investors by managing the preparation and distribution of financial and asset management investor reports containing required data from departmental systems and reviewing for accuracy and completeness.

  • Implements changes to standard reporting procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances.

  • Interprets and documents reporting requirements as provided for in partnership agreements and side letters.

  • Manages professional, timely and responsive reply to investor’s ad hoc information requests.

  • Ensures effective coordination between internal departments as it relates to the investor reporting function.

  • Researches and provides information and guidance to other departments as it relates to investor related responsibilities.

  • Assists investor prospecting with preparation of investor materials as needed.

  • Collaborates with Equity team to provide the highest quality customer service to Investors.

  • Assists with updating internal databases, marketing materials, and reporting templates.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of

  • Company’s working structure, policies, mission, and strategies.

  • Fundamental concepts, principles and practices of Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and the real estate industry.

  • Principles of banking and finance industry operations.

  • Financial reporting concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Financial reporting and analysis software packages.

Skill in

  • Real estate investment risk analysis, financial projections and reporting.

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.

  • Ability to read and understand standard real estate and LIHTC specific documentation.

  • Analyzing and presenting data and information to various internal and external clients.

  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication and spreadsheets.

  • Interpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriate.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in business, finance, accounting or related field.

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
