Description

Develop, Design and build the technical solution for a scalable and highly available Kubernetes environment into Private and External Cloud Environments.

Design, Engineer and build Kubernetes networking, security, logging, monitoring and persistent storage. Utilize helm and operator-based deployments into various environments.

Research and recommend innovative technologies and approaches for private and public cloud infrastructure management, upgrades, or improvements, while adhering to technical or budgetary constraints.

Proactively plan capacity monitoring and scaling of platforms and applications – analyzing technical areas for improvement.

Obtain and evaluate new tools and technology frameworks - on factors such as costs, performance, and security to determine solution patterns and services.

Participates in software system programming, validation, deployment, and documentation.

Develops strategic roadmaps and drives Infrastructure vision into actionable steps.

Executes on the road map and demonstrates perceptible business value. Defines the metrics to measure progress and maintain accountability.

Collaborates with Infrastructure Engineering teams to evaluate developing technologies and their viability as part of the overall infrastructure roadmap.

Identifies emerging technologies that can meaningfully extend the systems to better support user needs, participate in prototyping the use of those technologies, and support decision-making regarding technical direction.

Leads and maintains strategic engineering standards, designs processes and procedures on projects that will accelerate technologies for our business partners and clients including the rollout of innovative products and services as well as upgrades to the current environment.

Partners with IT and Business leadership to interpret the needs of the enterprise into Infrastructure solutions.

Provides full lifecycle technical project leadership from requirements gathering through implementation and administration.

May occasionally work a non-standard schedule including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related.

Five (5) years in any occupation with experience in engineering, development, or related must include: One (1) year of AWS; Engineering experience for Kubernetes and Docker: EE, UCP,and DTR; Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab. Experience with Git; Agile Methodologies; and Ubuntu Server, Red Hat, or CentOS.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: AWS Associate Level Certification (SysOps Administrator) and Kubernetes Admin Certification (CKA).

TELECOMMUTING EMPLOYEE: Reports to company headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL. Can work remotely or telecommute up to 100%.

SALARY : $175,000 per year
