Job Description

BAE Systems provides comprehensive cybersecurity professional services such as threat analysis, penetration testing, SOC design & deployment, and risk reduction. We are looking for experienced cybersecurity professionals for the Washington, D.C. area to join an innovative cybersecurity contract involving cyber engineering and data analytics including machine learning, malware analysis, and the development of mitigation solutions.

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team for the development and enhancement of data analytic tools in a SAFe development environment supporting data sciences and other cybersecurity engineers. They will work closely with the analytic platform team to translate and install analytics for testing/deployment. They will have a hybrid work location including remote as well onsite at the government s Arlington, VA location.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

This person will analyze, diagnose and resolve issues with cyber capabilities, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks. They will analyze attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. This may include the analysis of hardware, software and network firewalls and encryption protocols as well as the administration of security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems.

They will perform observation of cyber techniques, analysis of capabilities, development of scripts using advanced analytic tool sets and will provide recommendations for highly technical solutions.

As part of this, they will perform analysis of mission-related platforms and capabilities and make recommendations improvide the colletion of relevant information to increase the detection of malicious behavior. Examples of this may include the location of sensors with regard to targets and prioritization of firewall rules.

Required:

BS degree with an advanced degree in a cybersecurity or technically related field (including mathematics and data analytics)

3 to 5 years in highly related work

U.S. Citizenship required, a current Secret security clearance, and the ability to obtain TS/Sensitive Compartmented Information access.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Highly desired, advanced cybersecurity certification such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification

  • Experience with technology, tools, and services such as Athena, Cloud Deployment Toolkit, Comprehend, Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), DataBrew, Glue, Juptyer & R-Studio, Kibana (OpenSearch), Lambda, Python, Quicksight, R, Rekognition, Redshift, Various Reliable Messaging Services, S3 & Glacier, SageMaker, TensorFlow, State Machines, Textract, and Translate service.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $89650 - $152460

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
