We are looking for an experienced Principal Data Engineer to lead a team for the development and enhancement of data analytic tools in a SAFe development environment supporting data sciences and cybersecurity engineers. They will work closely with the analytic platform team to translate and install analytics for testing/deployment. They will have a hybrid work location including remote as well onsite at the government s Arlington, VA location.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
This person will be responsible for the collection, processing, and analysis of network and operational project data including tools and services used to collect, aggregate, and store data. They will identify data gaps within data sets, identify data components needed to support advanced and dynamic data analysis. As part of this, they will identify, process, categorize, and present analysis data while maintaining data quality focused on the elimination of inaccuracy. They will support data management frameworks including graph databases, extract transform load (ETL) tools, full text indexing databases, and Big Data tools in order to connect large data sets from a variety of sources; create data collection frameworks for structured and unstructured data; and develop standards, tools, processes and governance for capturing, modeling, storing, and delivering data for the enterprise.
Based on task assignments, they will use visualization tools, analytics, and interactive functions to enable the interpretability and analysis of cyber network and operational data to provide easy to understand standard or custom real-time graphics and interactive capabilities to improve situational awareness. This includes support for the visualization frameworks and tools such as Chart.js, D3.js, Kibana, PowerBI, React, Tableau.

Required:
BS degree with an advanced degree in a cybersecurity or technically related field (including mathematics and data analytics)
10 years in highly related work
U.S. Citizenship required, a current Secret security clearance, and the ability to obtain TS/Sensitive Compartmented Information access.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Highly desired, advanced cybersecurity certification such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification
Experience with technology, tools, and services such as Athena, Cloud Deployment Toolkit, Comprehend, Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), DataBrew, Glue, Juptyer & R-Studio, Kibana (OpenSearch), Lambda, Python, Quicksight, R, Rekognition, Redshift, Various Reliable Messaging Services, S3 & Glacier, SageMaker, TensorFlow, State Machines, Textract, and Translate service.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $136620 - $232210
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
