BAE Systems Sr. Platform Engineer in Sterling, Virginia

Job Description

Join BAE Systems Intelligence & Security (I&S) Sector and be a part of an agile team that protects and supports those who protect us. Our team is looking for motivated, experienced, and talented Platform Engineers to develop, engineer, and optimize a new Digital Engineering Ecosystem (DEE). As a Platform Engineer you may:

  • Design, develop, document, test and debug DEE capabilities

  • Integrate Digital Engineering tools into a cloud environment

  • Create scripts to automate creation and provisioning of cloud workspaces

  • Implement security plans and SOPs ensuring the DEE meets/exceeds SLOs

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field and 8 years of experience

  • Possess a Security CE certification

  • Experience with DevOps Tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, etc.)

  • Experience engineering cloud solutions (AWS or Azure)

  • Clear and concise communication (verbal and written)

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Master's degree with 5 years of experience

  • Experience with creating ServiceNow workflows to automate processes

  • Familiarity with installing and configuring Digital Engineering tools (CAMEO, DOORSNG, TWC, etc.)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $122870 - $208890

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
