How You’ll Make an Impact:

The Industrial Engineering Coordinator is responsible for monitoring daily productivity, workflow, and SOP compliance within the Distribution Center.

This role typical reports into the Mgr. Operations Support and is based in our Stockbridge Distribution Center.

75%: Data Entry, Reporting, and Analysis

  • Track and maintain trend performance reporting tools.

  • Conduct SOP compliance evaluations and reviews to drive results.

  • Compile SOP compliance scorecards and communicate results to leadership team.

  • Manage productivity reporting, monitoring, and communication as needed.

  • Generate multi-level reports through various systems for multiple audiences, including Executive team.

  • Review daily associate LM performance; analyze GAP reports and root cause performance anomalies and adjust accordingly per engineering set guidelines.

  • Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts,

  • and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities.

  • Draft and document standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for DC tasks and functions

  • Support and participate in continuous improvement projects.

  • Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material and equipment.

  • Identify training and development opportunities to help improve DC performance.

  • Conduct observations and time studies on warehouse floor to implement engineered standards.

  • Work alongside HR / Hiring Teams to support new associate onboarding, including conducting facility tours, assisting with training, and creating badges.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Must have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, specifically proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Proven team member with skills to multi-task.

  • Ability to work with basic engineering and mathematical concepts and principles, applying them to practical situations.

  • Ability to use computers, systems, and software applications to enter data and process/maintain information in written and electronic form. Generate productivity and production reports using engineering standards

  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems through data driven analysis.

  • Observe, receive, and obtain information from all relevant sources, monitor and review information from materials, events or the environment, to detect or assess problems.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with non-exempt associates, operational supervisors, and upper level management.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and technical writing skills.

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds, scan with RF equipment, bend, twist, and be on your feet for shifts up to 12 hours long.

  • Flexibility to work overtime and comply with blackout periods (no vacation or personal time allowed) during peak periods.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Industrial Engineering Associates Degree or related STEM field preferred.

  • Operations knowledge of distribution and related processes.

  • 6 months + experience in an automated distribution center.

  • Previous technical engineering projects/assignments.

Physical and work demands:

  • Must be available to work in a multi-shift distribution environment, flexible to work different shifts and extended hours based upon business needs.

  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

  • Must be able to stand and work for long periods including daily overtime, holidays and overtime as required.

  • Must be able to repetitively lift cases weighing up to fifty pounds.

  • Must be able to work in varying to extreme temperatures.
