Lockheed Martin Experimental Aeromechanic Test Engineer in Stratford, Connecticut

Description: Experimental Test Engineer functions in Experimental Aeromechanics department on wide array of programs that include developmental helicopters and advanced rotorcraft concepts that require Wind Tunnel Testing of scale models. Individual will be a a critical member of a combined engineering and technician test team during test operations.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, designing, documenting, and implementing designed experiments to specified schedule and budgets. Duties will include executing discreet tasks as part of an experimental test plan that include requirement definition and evaluation, engineering concept design and analysis, manufacturing support of detail and assembly procurement, fabrication, installation, calibration and testing for electro/mechanical details and sub systems in support of data collection, analysis, and report documentation of the results of experimental tests.

Supporting in assorted clerical duties such as tracking, bookkeeping and project /task management. Possible travel at times up to 50% of time primarily in support of wind tunnel testing or off-site testing for experimental data collection at partner, customer, or supplier facilities.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical or

Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.

Concentration in Control and Mechanical Systems
