Description: Sikorsky Aircraft, a Lockheed Martin company, is the world leader in the design, manufacture and service of advanced helicopters for commercial, industrial and military uses. We are currently seeking a Flight Controls and Autonomous Systems Engineer for our team. This position is based in Stratford, Connecticut.
This is a technical position associated with the design, development, integration, and evaluation of Fly-By-Wire Flight Control Systems with an emphasis on Flight Control System Architecture, Flight Control Software, Control Law Development, Autonomous Control Algorithms, System Test and Analysis as applicable to flight vehicles.
Desired Skills: Control Systems academic background. Control, Guidance, Navigation or Autonomy Vehicle experience (preferably in the aviation field) via academic projects, internships or professional experience. Experience in Systems Engineering in the areas of requirements development/traceability, development, test and risk assessment Model based design experience. Experience in FAA certification procedures such as 178B/C and/or DO-254. Private Pilot license or any other aviation training. Software/System tools: Matlab, Simulink, DOORs, Machine Learning and Python.
