Description: The candidate will provide DB2, Unix/Linux systems Admin support, integrate with the SAP CoE and support SAP Bolton Solutions in addition to supporting System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) business functional and application technical specification documents that will be further utilized for application development, testing, solution implementation/deployment, training (IT & business) and support of business systems.

• Interface with subject matter experts from various business disciplines to gather business requirements associated with specific IT solution requests. Collaborate with appropriate IT staff as needed.

• Requirements will be gathered, documented and reviewed with both business and IT resources to fully understand appropriate aspects of the solution including where appropriate; Business Process, Business Rules, Impact Analysis, Business Flow Diagrams of the proposed solution.

Technical Specifications:

• Develop technical specifications and requirements consistent with industry standard SDLC formats and appropriate contents for applications development activities including where appropriate, database and configuration requirements, master data setup as well as any data conversion activities required.

Quality Assurance:

• Identify, develop, and execute appropriate unit test, system test and integration test scenarios and test scripts with supporting test criteria that will be used to validate the quality and integrity of the application being developed and deployed.

Training:

• Identify, develop, and deliver appropriate training (content & format) to those that require an understanding of any new business processes or technical supportability of the application being deployed.

Deployment and Post Implementation Support:

• Identify, develop, and execute activities required for deployment of new applications. Including appropriate technical and business cutover actions required.

• Provide support to both business and IT resources for any post implementation support and sustaining activities that may be required for application being deployed.

Production Support:

• Provide analysis and technical support activities of current and new production systems to resolved critical issues in a timely manner. Identity bug/fix/break opportunities to further enhance the applications. Implement appropriate enhancements as required to further ensure and upgrade the integrity of the production system.

Project/Task Metrics and Reporting:

• Collaborate with LM IT and business resources to provide appropriate and timely project/support metrics as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Familiarity with a wide variety engineering tools and processes

• Experience coordinating across various IT groups

• Experience Supporting (server admins (AIX and RHL), DBAs (DB2)), SAP (BASIS), SAP Bolt-On…etc.) in support of an application

• Experience supporting business critical enterprise applications

• Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements

• Experience supporting COTS applications

• Proficiency in Redhat Linux and Windows operating system administration

• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Demonstrated problem solving technical issues

• Familiarity with agile methodologies

• Proven ability to work effectively across organization and geographic boundaries

• Effective communications skills (verbal and written)
