THE WORK
We are seeking an experienced designer with hands-on mechanical skills to work in the Tool Engineering group supporting new and existing air vehicle tooling projects.
You will:
• Develop new tooling concepts for a variety of programs.
• Present tool concepts to customers for review and obtain customer approval to proceed to detailed design and tool build.
• Ensure tools are developed and produced in compliance with Sikorsky design requirements and customer expectations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and perform final checks of tooling developed at suppliers.

WHO YOU ARE
• You are experienced with CATIA FT&A (model-based design).
• You have a solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance application.
• You are familiar with MS Office products and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
• You are familiar with a variety of manufacturing processes.
• You are experienced with CATIA V5.
• Preferred if you have a background in additive manufacturing processes and applications.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering related discipline with some professional experience
• Background in manufacturing
• Experience with CATIA or similar software
• Experience with GD&T
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Additive manufacturing experience
• Microsoft Office experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
