Position Summary

You will be responsible for establishing proper levels of product by store and distributing product accordingly; analyzing sales results by store and using that information to adjust levels or change assortment; executing transfers and price changes; allocating product and maintaining appropriate inventory levels by style and store; processing price changes for all channels of the business; maintaining a close partnership with the Planning and Merchandising Team as well as the Visual Merchandising teams; and completing ad hoc reporting as required.

Allocator, Direct to Consumer (Timberland Americas)

You will be a trusted member of our Allocation team, reporting to the Manager, DTC Allocation, and establish close partnerships with the Planning and Merchandising Team as well as the Visual Merchandising teams

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • Establish proper levels of product by store and distribute product accordingly

  • Analyze sales results by store and use that information to adjust levels or change assortment, execute transfers and price changes

  • Allocate product and maintain appropriate inventory levels by style/store

  • Process price changes for all channels of the business

How you will do it:

  • By establishing and maintaining close partnerships with the Planning and Merchandising Team as well as the Visual merchandising team

  • Completing ad hoc reporting as required

Skill for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in a retail store environment

Formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees, such as a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field, are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

What we expect you already know/have :

  • The expertise to do detailed allocation work accurately and efficiently, interpret reports and results, and recap the findings

  • The adeptness to respond and adapt quickly with a sense of urgency to changing business needs and requirements.

  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to translate direction to lower-level execution

  • A strong understanding of mathematical principles and be a team player

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
