Bridgestone Americas, Inc Senior Quality Control and Assurance Coordinator in Sulphur, Louisiana


  • Collaborate with internal departments to support, define, and implement new solutions to enhance and exceed our quality requirements for products and processes

  • Lead and support proactive continuous improvement activities

  • Lead and support root causes analysis investigations into customer and vendor quality problem reports

  • Support existing and establish new relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders

  • Use advanced analytical and technical problem-solving to develop new solutions to existing and future problems

  • Lead projects and process independently with limited supervision

  • Acquire and transform necessary data to report on quality KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) daily

  • Continuously monitor KPIs and plant performance to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Work closely with technical service, operations, maintenance, and other groups to identify causes and solutions to poor quality processes and products


  • Applicants with less work experience or education may be considered for a lower requirement, non senior level role

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability

  • Strong will to learn new skills and take on challenging projects

  • Ability to work with a team diverse in technical abilities and background

  • (Desired but not required) Strong data analysis skills including experience with tools such as Minitab

  • (Desired but not required) Experience with analysis of time-series process data in a manufacturing environment

  • (Desired but not required) Experience with OSIsoft PI Process Data Historian

  • (Desired but not required) Experience with quality and continuous improvement strategies and methodologies such as Six Sigma, DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control), and PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act).

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience

You will lead the development of work activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements of products and processes including raw material receiving, product manufacturing, packaging, and shipment of finished product. You will in use, maintain, and build the systems necessary to track, report, and analyze data pertaining to the quality of our product and processes. You will use your analytical and technical problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and develop new solutions to existing problems to maximize the quality of our products and processes. You will also maintain and build new relationships with our customers and suppliers, both internally and externally. To succeed in this position, candidates should excel at creative problem solving, self-learning, working with a diverse team, and influencing others.
