About The Team:

At Clover, we're at the forefront of the Fintech and SaaS revolution, empowering small businesses with technology and insights that were once only accessible to larger enterprises. What You Will Do:

• Design and construct robust, scalable systems that elevate Clover's engineering prowess.

• Collaborate with service development teams to create and support the platform, contributing to a cohesive technical strategic roadmap.

• Advocate for improvements, enhancing Clover's applications and products through your platform contributions.

• Coordinate major architectural changes across teams, driving efficiency and effectiveness.

• Systematically solve problems and communicate effectively, embodying a strong sense of ownership.

What You Will Need To Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of industry expertise.

• Proficiency in Java or other equivalent object oriented programming language.

• Backend service development skills.

• Familiarity with modern containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and software design.

• Skill in diagnosing technical issues, debugging code, and automating tasks.

• Experience with relational databases.

What Would Be Great To Have:

• Prior experience with service decomposition.

• Background in building, deploying, and maintaining large-scale services.

• Knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing.

• Familiarity with technologies such as:

• Cloud: Kubernetes (EKS or GKE), Virtual Machine (GCE or EC2), networking, and provisioning (Terraform).

• Service development API: OpenAPI, Protobuf, GQL.

• Service mesh: Istio, Linkerd, Consul.

• Proxy: Nginx, HAProxy, Envoy, Apache Server.

• Caching: Redis, Memorystore.

• Observability: Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, Splunk.

Salary Range

$112,900.00 - $192,000.00
