Pfizer Director, US Gross to Net Center of Excellence in Tampa, Florida
The Gross to Net Center of Excellence (G2N CoE) is part of the broader Global Business Services (GBS) and consists of the Chargebacks, Membership, and Medicaid Rebates process areas. The G2N COE is responsible for teams in two locations: Memphis, TN and San Jose, Costa Rica, each playing an important role in the domestic revenue cycle. The G2N CoE processes US wholesaler chargeback submissions with an annual volume of 24 million lines totaling $6 billion in credits and pays Medicaid rebate claims totaling $1.5 billion annually. The US Gross to Net COE Lead will be responsible for leading team of 50 finance professionals who are managing large and complex processes, activities and projects. In this role, the US Gross to Net COE Lead will be accountable for all elements of process design, execution, compliance and governance related to the Chargebacks, Membership, and Medicaid Rebates processes.
Role Responsibilities
Leadership and Management of the G2N COE function, responsible for operational performance and providing strategic guidance and direction to the function including:
Collaborate relentlessly with GBS operational, Global O2C, and site leadership ensuring G2N CoE alignment of priorities
Create a culture focused on continuous improvement, internal controls and compliance; lead the maintenance of an effective internal control structure ensuring compliance with Pfizer policy and US GAAP, while proactively managing existing and new risk
Anticipate changes to the operating and service delivery models ensuring process and organizational changes proactively reflecting and managing these changes
Actively and proactively partner with key business partners to inform, collaborate and identify cross functional challenges and opportunities leveraging the "One Pfizer" mindset
Actively identify, develop and mentor key colleagues across the GBS organization
Lead the G2N CoE Governance structure including the development, organization, and execution of committee meetings, workshops, and deliverables
Lead a large team of colleagues across multiple geographies through challenging, competing and complex projects and initiatives
Identify and collaborate on the execution of digital opportunities and strategies
Lead a large team of finance professionals in multiple geographies managing complex processes including all US gross to net financial accounting and reporting activities. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Accurate and timely payment of trade customer gross to net (chargeback) claims
Customer eligibility, contract compliance including product pricing
Chargeback deduction resolution
New customer and account membership
Financial analysis and reporting
Customer and payment coding and classification
Medicaid rebate calculation and payment in compliance with all laws and regulations
Customer and state dispute resolution
Maintain accountability and ownership of key process documentation and operating procedures
Manage concurrent external and internal audits including compliance with all deliverables and milestones
Lead and/or sponsor site, organization and/or critical transformational initiatives
Actively identify process improvement opportunities, develop range of solutions and implement timely remediation
Membership of the GBS site leadership team with joint responsibility for managing site-wide operational requirements and leading strategic initiatives as necessary on the GBS LAR & US Sites
Develop and lead strategic initiatives that result in changes to the Pfizer finance operating/service delivery model through further leveraging of the GBS value proposition
Develop and deliver frequent operational and project updates to members of the GBS SSET leadership team
In partnership with geographical site leads and global GBS Lead develop and implement rolling 3 year strategies focused on both operations and culture.
Lead operational integration of acquisitions and achievement of financial synergy requirements.
Develops and lead transformations initiatives including M&A, changes in operating/service delivery model, technology change and emerging digital technologies including automation, cognitive and blockchain. Models leadership to entire F&BO organization
Influence without direct authority resources both within the GBS shared service organization and the broader Pfizer finance organization including but not limited to Commercial Operations, Market Finance, US Commercial Finance and Treasury
Proactively monitor cross-functional initiatives that impact people, processes and technology to ensure alignment, maintain agility and mitigate disruption to operations

REQUIRED BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
10 years of financial and/or corporate finance experience
Experience managing large teams in a complex and global environment
Project management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree, MBA or CPA
Shared service experience
SAP and FLEX experience
