Pfizer Senior Financial Analyst in Tampa, Florida
This position reports to the Director, Portfolio Management and provides essential financial support to C-TIES Digital, ensuring that we achieve our semester-based project expense targets, adhere to financial policies, and fulfill all our reporting commitments to Finance and other parties requiring financial information.
The key responsibilities for this position include:
Contributes to the development of the annual project portfolio budget and quarterly forecasts in the P3 portfolio management tool
Assists in managing one-time costs across all funding sources (capital, expense and restructuring) to establish financial targets
Review project expense accruals to ensure that the costs of services performed, and goods received are accurately stated
Monitor projects as they move through the development lifecycle from the approval stage to close-out
Manages WBS elements for project cost tracking, from creation to closure
Manages project health indicators across the entire project portfolio
Assist with ongoing cost data collection to support the annual budget transfer process
Uses business intelligence tools to analyze large data sets to improve decision-making
Develop and maintain internal Standard Operating Procedures
Project Portfolio
Collaborates with the Portfolio Management Team to manage $175 million in annual project expenses across all funding sources (capital, expense, and restructuring)
Manage the monthly capital two-way match (2WM) accrual process, ensuring project managers review and accrue for the costs of services performed per our financial policies
Prepare monthly project variance reporting to be used for monthly financial review meetings with our leadership teams (LT)
Work with project managers to collect project variance explanations versus budget and the latest forecast
Identify permanent and temporary favorability/risk and work with teams to adjust forecast in P3 as needed
Collaborate with teams to develop quarterly forecast submissions and future year scenarios
Offer continuous financial support to teams to help them comprehend costs incurred and guide them towards the collective achievement of established financial targets
Manage project health indicators by working with project managers to update project status, percentage complete, start and end dates as well as forecast and actuals accuracy to ensure that P3 is updated with the latest information for accurate enterprise project management reporting
Work with project managers to collect ongoing costs resulting from projects to include as part of the annual budget transfer process
Identify ongoing cost charges hitting closed projects and work with project managers to update the Compliance Master Batch Documents (CMDB) system with the correct cost center and/or charge codes
Project Accounting
Create WBS elements in SAP to track one-time project costs
Manage the entire lifecycle of project codes, from their initial creation to their eventual closure
Participate in master data management activities, which include creating project codes, maintaining data tables, and similar tasks
Continuous Improvement
Identify manual and routine activities within our processes and automate them using the Power Automate Desktop tool, to help streamline operations and reduce the time spent on repetitive tasks
Explore and implement generative artificial intelligence opportunities to enhance our efficiency and innovation
Develop and maintain internal Standard Operating Procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient training process for our new hires
REQUIRED BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience; OR a master's degree with more than 1 year of experience; or an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma or equivalent and 8 years of relevant experience
Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $69,400.00 to $115,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
