Entergy Capital Projects Cost Analyst - Invoice Verification in The Woodlands, Texas

Job Summary/Purpose
The Capital Projects Analyst – Invoice Verification supports New Generation projects in all stages of development or execution. Responsibilities will include monitoring contract amounts, validating and processing invoicing and contributing data to monthly reporting cycles.
This position reports to the Manager, Project Controls (Cost) and will support a team of cost analysts, project managers, construction managers, contract managers and other Sr. Management.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Active tracking and monitoring of spend, balance and contract terms with frequent status reporting to relevant stakeholders.
Manages invoice processing for EPC contractors and service providers. This includes verifying invoices for accuracy and code block, approval routing and payment processing.
Assists cost analyst with monthly invoice accrual process.
Interfaces with internal and external project team (s) as necessary for invoice processing purposes.
Utilizes Maximo to retrieve and validate invoices and POWER BI to review report and perform analyses.
Demonstrates very good documentation and organization skills.
Demonstrate commitment to sa fety through active participation in safety meetings, safety inspections and field observations where applicable.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Project Management, Construction Management or applicable course of study or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
Analyst I: 0-3 years of mega-project experience.
Analyst II.: At least 3 years of mega-project experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Capital Project development and execution invoice verification / analysis experience with an owner or contractor.
Understanding of commercial agreements and contracting strategies
Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Proficiency in Maximo, Power BI, Cognos and Power Plan
Desired: Knowledge of Entergy financial and accounting systems and processes
