This position works out of our Tipp City, OH location in the Abbott Nutrition division. What You'll Work On

  • Coordinate activities for the shift team to ensure delivery of all keyperformance metricsincluding those in Environmental, Health andSafety(EHS), Quality,Finance, Productivity and People

  • Lead efforts required to deliver quality andcomplianceperformance for the shift. Initiate, manage, and make decisions which impactproduct quality.

  • Drive a culture of engagement through the team and department. Directly supervise a team and participate in staffing activities.

  • Develop all line personnel by securing appropriate staffing,training,mentoring,performance reviews, and assigning progressively challenging stretch responsibilities within the scope of the team and department accountabilities. Maintain asafelab environment.

  • Engage with employees and other key stakeholders to ensure allEHSrequirements are met inclusive of internal and externalregulatoryobjectives and direction

  • Promote behaviors that ensure delivery of high-quality products for our customers while maintainingcompliancewithAbbottpolicies and procedures, meeting all local and statutory requirements, and adhere to theregulatoryrequirementsof countries to which products are shipped

  • Prepare and actively participate in internal and externalQuality auditsand incident investigation andreporting; coupled with timely implementation ofCAPAactivities

  • Model and promote a thorough understanding of what drives product costs,profitability, and cash flow for the shift and within the department, while operating withinbudgetmaterial utilization andCost ImprovementProgram goals.Managebudgetaccountabilityfor Headcount, Overtime, anddirect expensesfor a shift and/or line. Track, trend and continuously improve budgetary performance fordirect expenses, headcount, overtime (OT), and Scrap andCost ImprovementProjects (CIP).

  • Assure thatproductionschedules are formulated to maximize plant advantage and ensure schedules are met.

  • Responsible for the accuracy of thedocumentationrequired forproduction.

  • Assists in implementation of improvement projects as assigned by the Department Manager.

  • Providesleadershipand valuable participation in team activities that will enhance the overall effectiveness of the Plant.

  • Assures timely and relevant communications to and from all levels. This includes assuring communications to Department Manager, between shifts and to related departments. Directs daily and monthly shift communication meetings.

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Pay and Shift

This is a salaried position working 6:30 pm to 7:00 am on a 2-2-3 rotating shift.

Scheduled example

Week 1: Work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Off Wednesday and Thursday.

Week 2: Work Wednesday and Thursday. Off Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

  • 2+ years of experience in leadership role

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of manufacturing experience in a regulated industry

  • Experience usingproject planningand executiontools

  • Microsoft Office computerskills

  • Leadershipexperience

  • Experience working with and implementingContinuous Improvementprojects

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
