Applies quality principles in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.

Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.

Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

- STEM bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a

related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined

education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3

years of professional experience with a related Master’s

degree.

- Min. of 5 years CMM programming experience.

- Min of 2 years of Quality Engineering experience in an

inspection or production environment of mechanical

parts.

- 2+ years’ experience using inspection tooling like optical

comparator, micrometers, calipers, pin gages, thread

gages, etc.

- Proficiency with discrepancy documents, SAP or other

ERP databases.

- Experience with data analytics to report trends and

achieve results, drive improvements and efficiencies.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.

- Must be a US Citizen

Desired Skills:

- Prior Receiving Inspection experience.

- 5 + years’ experience programming Zeiss CMMs &

O-Inspect using Calypso software.

- 2+ years of FBM Program experience.

- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience.

- Experience guiding/training quality inspectors.

- Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt or higher certification

- Advanced SAP skills.

- Familiar with other FBM related discrepancy

documents/processes.

- Ability to foster and grow a collaborative and team-based

environment.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
