The Director, Global Commercial Strategy for Prostate Cancer works with a cross-functional, highly matrixed team whose mission is to develop and execute the global commercial strategy across the three Prostate Cancer disease states, early-stage disease, advanced stage disease and late state disease. There are currently two pivotal phase III studies running in early-stage disease and one in late-stage disease.

The cross functional colleagues consist of Global Strategic Marketing, Market Research, Global Strategic Analytics, Health Economics & Pricing, Medical Affairs, Diagnostics, Regulatory and Regional Commercial teams. The Director Global Commercial Strategy will need to work closely with members from all these functions with understanding and empathy for the different perspectives and needs. Gaining buy in and followership to align on our strategy will be critical skills in delivering success.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker bringing creative solutions to our business problems, innovating, and disrupting to transform care for prostate cancer patients across the world.

The Director, Global Commercial Strategy, Prostate Cancer (Apalutamide) is expected to:

  • Drive development and implementation of key components of commercial strategy, including branding, public relations, medical strategy, publication strategy, market access/reimbursement strategies, and other market preparation programs

  • Lead active partnerships with regional operating companies to ensure successful implementation of new messaging, creative campaign, and critical life cycle programs.

  • Proactively partner with R&D and the regional leadership to provide input into clinical study development, product development decisions, and labeling that supports the commercial launch strategy and lifecycle management investments

  • Represent commercial view through governance process, the Development Committee, investment committee, and Group Operating Committee

  • Ensure development of business cases that support the portfolio strategy

  • Lead Apalutamide GCTs to ensure regional knowledge and alignment

  • Coordinate and lead Apalutamide meetings at major conferences (ASCO-GU, ASCO, ESMO)

  • Lead the Apalutamide strategy for ongoing KOL/STEER engagement

  • Collaborate with the Global Strategic Analytics team to develop forecasts

  • Mentor talent on the team

  • Be accountable for managing budget

Qualifications

Education

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree in business or life sciences is preferred.

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive pharmaceutical experience or related experience is required.

  • Must have a proven track record of exceptional team & cross functional leadership.

  • Marketing experience with senior brand responsibility is preferred.

  • Launch experience is preferred.

  • Related therapeutic area experience is preferred.

  • Experience with R&D programs, managing strategic alliances, global market access and medical strategy is preferred.

  • Demonstrated global mindset with ability to assimilate complex science quickly is required.

  • Global experience is preferred.

  • A demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, cross-geography is required.

  • Excellent executive communication skills are required.

  • An ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time, lead teams, gain alignment and driving decision making is required.

  • This position requires up to 30% travel (largely international).
