The Director of promotional review directs all aspects of the Promotional Review Department for copy approval teams and therapeutic areas located in our Horsham, PA or Titusville, NJ. The Director is responsible for driving the review and approval of promotional assets through strategic collaboration and effective implementation.

Description:

  • Process leadership and management. The Director is accountable for stakeholder management with cross-functional partners and for enabling the promotional review teams to efficiently ensure that assets move through the review process within agreed upon timelines, in compliance with company, legal and federal regulations and in adherence to defined processes.

  • Drive Business Prioritization: Strategically align with cross-functional leaders on business priorities and resource needs to support portfolio and pipeline growth, and highly sophisticated product launch excellence.

  • Continuous Improvement and Execution: The incumbent demonstrates an agile mentality and will own the development and communication of ground-breaking projects that will increase business impact in a constantly evolving business environment.

  • Shape and Scale on Demand Vendor Management: The incumbent will lead our flexible contractor model and will serve as the directly responsible individual to develop Key Performance Indicators and measure performance to accelerate readiness through improved training and evaluation.

  • Responsible for leading and developing employees within the department located in our Horsham office, by supporting the development of Human Resources Planning (HRP) programs including management development and training to meet current and future business needs. Directs activities of the Horsham Promotional Review Team to ensure the efficient and effective review of promotional assets through the copy approval process. This includes partnering with Business Unit heads and internal partners to align business goals and objectives and to ensure operational readiness for new product launches (35%)

Strategic lead to enhance team effectiveness and ensure business alignment and engagement of the review/approval team. This includes ensuring Promotional Review staff understands Operating Company strategies and business needs, reinforcing team member roles and accountabilities and embracing a solutions-oriented approach (25%)

Leads all aspects of the external contracting vendor to develop a long term robust partnership in order to build an impactful on demand team.

Develop critical metrics, evaluate and measure performance to accelerate readiness. (20%)

Mentor and develop team for efficient performance, continued growth, and employee engagement. Handle corrective and preventative actions, including progressive disciplinary actions, as required (20%)

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required (BA/BS).

  • A Masters degree (MA/MS/MBA) is highly preferred.

  • A minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in areas such as Marketing, Sales, and Healthcare Compliance needed

  • Prior Experience as a People Leader is preferred

  • Project Management Skills and organizational capabilities

  • Strong partner and people leader; able to lead cross-functional work teams and influence multidisciplinary team of experts

Campus base (Horsham, PA or Titusville, NJ). On site 3 times a week. Travel between Titusville, NJ, and Horsham sites may be required as needed; minimal travel required for key events, e.g., department meetings and training.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
