One of our key initiatives is Interventional Oncology, a cross-sector effort charged by the Executive Committee of Johnson & Johnson with altering the course of cancer. We conduct sophisticated clinical trials that involve the development of novel procedures and unique routes of administration for investigational cancer therapies.

Responsibilities:

The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the contracting and financial processes associated with Interventional Oncology partnership opportunities with other organizations, research institutions and individuals. They will also provide creative solutions for contracting and negotiation needs, manage workloads to ensure precedence is given to priority projects, and assist the Business Operation leaders in building out processes and establishing metrics to allow for efficient and effective processes. Responsibilities of the Business Operations Manager will include the following:

  • Partner with Interventional Oncology Business Partners, Legal, HCC and procurement, as necessary, to provide guidance in order to reach acceptable outcomes, find creative ways to avoid/solve problems in order to manage the external partner relationship and not compromise any on-going study or study-related activities.

  • Partner and collaborate with the Interventional Oncology Operations Team, Business Partners, Program Leaders, Finance and Procurement to manage the contracting and financial processes to ensure organizational needs are met in a timely and compliant way.

  • Assist with the development of strategic operational processes that will enable more efficient internal and external development and operations

  • Assist as necessary in tracking metrics and measuring the operational efficiencies of Interventional Oncology.

  • Assist in maintaining systems utilized to track contract requests and financial obligations.

  • Support the management of the financial processes by partnering with Finance, Business Partners and Business Operations members.

  • Develop and implement strategic operational process improvements as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Six or more years of relevant pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience is required.

  • Prior experience managing contracting and financial processes is required.

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment is highly preferred.

  • People management experience is preferred.

  • Ability to interact at the senior level in the organization is required.

  • Excellent interpersonal collaborations and team skills including working with cross-functional teams is required.

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time is required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $113,000 to $195,500. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
