The Senior Director, Medical Adoption and Innovation is accountable for defining and implementing clear processes and standards for elevating US Medical and Scientific Affairs capabilities that enable medical adoption and innovation. Areas of focus will include US medical launch excellence, US integrated evidence generation planning, and knowledge sharing with healthcare intermediaries. This role collaborates closely with Global Medical Affairs to find synergies to elevate Medical Affairs contributions.

They are responsible for maintaining and building innovative digital channels and tools that enable internal and external knowledge integration, content management and medical information sharing such as the medical suite of tools and Janssen Science.

They will provide strategic leadership over medical information to payer and health systems, which includes healthcare intermediaries content creation and submissions.

Essential Functions:

  • Own and maintain the end-to-end upgrading of US Medical and Scientific Affairs Capabilities in collaboration with Global Medical Affairs for initiatives such as, but not limited to the US Medical Affairs Launch Framework

  • Maintaining and building innovative digital channels and tools that enable internal and external knowledge integration, content management and medical information sharing

  • Provide strategic leadership over medical information to payer and health systems and health care intermediaries

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree

  • Seven to 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry or other relevant experience

  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience managing people

  • Leader and a driver, ability to express and advocate for one’s views.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and connect with others in order to get things done the right way.

  • Ability to shape and influence others, and develop people for optimal performance

  • Ability to excel in strategic partnering, demonstrating excellent communication skills

  • Collaborative, while being able to drive an agenda

  • Comfortable representing the organization and staying connected with key stakeholders

  • Customer/Marketplace/Healthcare Landscape Focus

  • Ability to navigate in a fast-paced, matrixed organization

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $187,000 to $322,000.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: - Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year - Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year - Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year - Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
