The Senior Manager, Market Access Analytics is responsible for being a trusted advisor to Market Access Pricing and marketing partners. S/he will manage a team of individuals who are generating and translating payer & provider insights and analytics into growth opportunities and tactics that craft decisions and drive organizational action for all Janssen NA pharma brands. This position will serve to support enablement of existing MA analytics tools, processes while informing new capabilities including partnerships with finance and contracting to ensure critical pull through, pricing and gross-to-net trade off decision making.
The senior manager will be familiar with patient-level data and market dynamics pertaining to formulary coverage, reimbursement, health systems, buy-and-bill, and patient affordability.
Identify, build, and execute integrated analytics which advise market access and sales pull-through strategies and tactics. This includes determining optimal analytic approaches and statistical methods, identify appropriate supplier partners, foster strong partnerships in the context of resources, timing, and overall project goals.
Develop critical account-based analytics and local-level payer and provider pull through opportunities to maximize access and capitalize on competitive differentiation
Elevate and enhance brand access performance dashboards to establish baseline market access understanding at all levels of the organization to ensure market access is at the forefront of brand strategy
Lead key national, regional and account level market access analytics that improve Brand/Portfolio/NA Pharm performance.
Develop new insights and impactful recommendations and influence business partners at all levels to incorporate in decision making.
Lead comprehensive analysis of patient access and affordability to enable and inform brand fulfillment & persistency strategies, demonstrating use of subnational payer data
Identify and develop critical metrics to measure and monitor performance through dashboards.
See opportunities to partner with CIS and Commercial Innovation (AA, CIO, etc.) to drive impact for brand or franchise and organizational efficiencies.
Serve as a leader in integrating data and payer/provider analytics insights with cross functional findings and insights developed by peers across the SCG, Brand and CE
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated success as a strategic advisor to business leaders as well as shaping and influencing organizational decision-making
Proven success solving business problems and generating meaningful insights and recommendations
Storytelling, data visualization and developing effective presentations
Knowledge across a broad spectrum of analytic approaches / data sources and ability to identify appropriate approach to address key business questions
High degree of intellectual curiosity; strong learning agility and demonstrated success solving ambiguous business issues
Experience working with Rx, patient claims, and managed markets data sources (e.g. IQVIA, SHS, IntegriChain, MMIT, DRG Managed Markets)
Proficiency with all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Tableau
Proven success in people management; leading and developing others
Knowledge of market access dynamics (e.g. payers, IDNs, specialty pharmacy, patient access, trade distribution)
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (model selection and hypothesis testing, statistical inference, promotional response modeling etc.) and experience with real-world applications
Experience utilizing sophisticated data processing tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, Python)
Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages and drawbacks
Expertise in domain specific data sets of pharma and specialty pharmacy data sources (including RWE, Patient level data, & sales data sources)
This position is based in Titusville, NJ and will require up to 10% domestic travel.
