In Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS), we provide next-generation RF Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities to enhance mission survivability. Our products span from Mission Systems to applications using custom integrated circuits.
We are looking for a Product Line Technical Director (PLTD), supporting the Tactical Aircraft Solutions (TACAIR) product line within ECS. The TACAIR product line provides EW solutions for some of the most challenging installations in existence and has tremendous growth potential both domestically and internationally. The PLTD will be a key member of the product line leadership team, providing technical leadership across the portfolio of both current and future programs.
The PLTD is responsible for leading engineering aspects of new business, technology planning & management, core technology development & reuse, and architectural support for the product line. The PLTD will interact with customers to understand their needs and help shape future plans. The PLTD must be able to effectively collaborate with customers to understand in customer unique warfighting terms their priority missions, equipment support needs, platform boundaries, and operational intent. A successful PLTD develops chief engineers within their product line to provide rapidly deployable solutions to meet those needs. The PLTD provides leadership and mentoring in all phases of product development from inception through production right up until platform retirement.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
BS and 12 years of experience in RF development, especially Electronic Warfare Systems
US citizen with a Secret Security Clearance
Outstanding leadership and management skills, including:
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to make sound decisions based on limited or ambiguous data
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Masters degree and 20 years relevant work experience or PhD and 15 years' experience
Recognized mission/technical expert in RF Electronic Warfare systems
Minimum 10 years of collaboration and the ability to achieve goals and produce outcomes through influencing skills
Ability to form a vision and implement action plans to achieve that vision
Entrepreneurial mindset
Positive track record of transitioning technology into products
Business acumen
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $169630 - $288370
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
