A competitive pay rate starting at $27.00, increasing to $29.00 after the completion of a 90-day probation.

Main Ingredients of the Job!
As a US FOODS® Yard Jockey you will be responsible for the following:
Safely drive to customers, meeting customer delivery times.
Safely unload products from the trailer with an electric pallet jack and two-wheeler into customer-designated staging areas.
Ability to repetitively lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product during each shift.
Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures using a POD scanner.
Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops.
Professionally and safely perform all driving duties as required by the US Foods Driver Safety Policy.
Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for tractor/trailer and door assignments.
Keep assigned equipment coupled.
Ensure all equipment is paired and staged for delivery drivers.
Stage shuttle trailers for shuttle drivers.
Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets.
Place backhauls in the correct door to be unloaded by the warehouse.
Ensure all trailers are set to the required reefer temperature.
Daily communication with repair vendors/fuel company.
Various warehouse functions of loading and unloading of trailers.
Additional Information:
Start time may vary depending on scheduled Hot Shot deliveries. (Typical start time would be 11:00 AM).
Weekend work is required.
One-to-two-day layovers may be required as business dictates.

What you bring to the table
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have valid CDL A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT (Department of Transportation) qualified.
Minimum of six months of commercial driving experience preferred
Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations

The expected compensation for this role is between $29 - $32.41.
