Johnson and Johnson is recruiting for a Program Lead - PMO, reporting to Johnson and Johnson Clinical Operation's (JJCO) Head Clinical Operations. The position will be located in Raritan New Jersey with alternate work locations available in North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico) or Latin America.

The Program Lead of Clinical Operations will support the JJCO Head by contributing to the development and execution of projects that are complex, multifaceted (people, process and systems) and cross-sector in nature.

The Program Lead will establish and maintain key partnerships across sectors to ensure a coordinated approach to strategic improvement solution development and deployment. This will entail collaboration with cross-sector partners. The Program Lead may also be responsible for resources that execute agreed upon strategic projects.

Success for this position will be assessed by criteria that include but are not limited to:

  • In collaboration with the JJCO Head, lead the creation of and deliver on program objectives and key results

  • Partner and provide strategic oversight for program budgets and resourcing

  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects

  • Lead the creation and execution of the program strategy and integrated development plan(s)

  • Architect scenarios to advise decision making and program planning; ensure that the right skills and capabilities exist on the team to effectively execute on the program plan

  • Proactively identify program and technical risks, generate mitigation plans, and facilitate the closure of risks

  • Build trust and respect across the team and its members; model behaviors and support team members

  • Point of contact for integration with corporate processes

  • Where applicable, serve as strategic and operational point person to partners

  • A bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in business, communications, engineering, operations or a master’s degree is preferred

  • A minimum of 8 years of related project management experience is required

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a PMO is required

  • Experience in partnering and collaborating with multi-cultural, multi-interdisciplinary teams is required

  • PMP Certification is preferred

  • Change management certification - Prosci framework preferred

  • Related industry experience (Medical, Clinical Operations or Regulatory Operations) is preferred

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and application to business process is preferred

  • The candidate will possess excellent leadership skills and proven ability to foster team productivity and cohesiveness.

  • Excellent decision-making and analytical and strong financial leadership skills are crucial to this position.

  • Other relevant experiences and skills may be considered by the hiring manager when considering the candidate’s eligibility.
